A wee little drink from the garden hose

While walking my camera around the Saratoga Race Course last Sunday, I positioned myself for a shot of the horses as they left the starting gate for the fourth race. Figured I’d get a nice angle and capture the horses as they start.

While the photo I did get was okay … it really didn’t give me what I wanted.

I did, however, get this nice candid shot of one of the track’s guide horses, as his rider offered the horse a wee sip of water.

And by “wee sip of water,” I mean a drink from the big garden hose. You know, the same ersatz drinking fountain we used back when we were kids.

I captured this image, and maybe I’ll save it for future use. We shall see.

But for now … enjoy.
